From the closing activity of the project entitled “Good start-Support of Roma children during early education in the Municipality of Kavaja”. This intervention started implementation in September 2019 and ended in June 2021.

During the implementation period:

A Community Mediator has conducted daily visits to families and early education institutions;

127 children were enrolled in kindergarten and daycare with the support of project staff;

2 Game Libraries were established to improve the parent-child relationship as well as to improve the quality of early education;

Weekly Games Library sessions are organized in kindergarten and family settings;

80 parents participated in the parenting program and improved their relationship with the child / s;

More than 160 parents were informed about the importance of education and vaccination;

Monthly parenting program sessions during the two years of project implementation in order to foster positive parenting skills;

3 kindergartens and about 200 children are supported with didactic materials and clothing ‘

At least 300 children were supported with the payment of kindergarten and daycare and 150 of them were supported with medicines;

80 families were supported with food and hygiene kits during the Covid-19 Pandemic period.
