Fatjeta Shehu

Psychologist

Fatjeta’s journey began with a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Tirana, Albania, followed by a
Master in Clinical Psychology from the same esteemed institution. During her academic pursuits, she
expanded her horizons through an enriching Erasmus+ exchange at Vilnius University, Lithuania.
Her professional journey has been defined by a commitment to serving marginalized communities. She has
worked closely with Afghan refugees, both as a psychologist and currently as a case worker, providing vital
support and counseling during their challenging transitions. Additionally, her tenure as a specialist at NCB
Interpol Tirana honed her skills in navigating complex psychological landscapes.
Specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, she has strived to make meaningful differences in the
lives of individuals with diverse needs. Her clinical expertise is complemented by research in topics like
personal values, self-objectification and other training experiences related to the field.
Fatjeta’s dedication extends beyond clinical settings. She has actively contributed to disaster relief efforts
following the devastating earthquake in Albania, collaborating with NGOs to provide essential interventions and
support. As a volunteer at YMCA Albania, Fatjeta has championed causes ranging from youth empowerment to
environmental conservation and women’s rights.
Driven by a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of psychology, she continuously seeks opportunities
to make a positive impact, advocating for gender perspectives in NGOs and engaging in independent volunteer
work whenever possible.
